1) To confirm a booking it is necessary to pay a non-refundable deposit of 30% of the rental price; this deposit must be paid immediately by credit card or by bank transfer. In the latter case, if no payment is received within 7 days, Heart of Garda reserves the right to cancel the reservation.
2) The balance of 70% of the rental price plus the extra costs (cleaning and local taxes – if they are due), must be paid by credit card or bank transfer at least 14 days before check-in. Different methods of payment of the balance can be agreed in advance with Heart of Garda.
3) For bookings that occur less than 14 days before the check-in date, full payment of the rental and extras are required at the time of booking by credit card or bank transfer.
4) In the event that the payment of the balance is not received at least 14 days before the check-in date, we will send the user a notification requesting the balance; from that moment the user will have 5 working days to pay the balance. After these 5 working days have passed, if no payment is received, Heart of Garda reserves the right to cancel the booking and will withhold the deposit paid at the time of booking as compensation.
Withdrawal of the booking contract by the customer or no-show at the Check In
5) In case of cancellation of the booking, the custumer is required to inform us immediately.
The penalties provided for are the following:
- If the booking is canceled more than 14 days before the check-in date, the customer will lose 30% of the total rental amount.
- If the booking is canceled less than 14 days before the check-in date, the customer will lose 100% of the rental amount.
6) In case of no-show at the check-in, the customer will not be entitled to any refund of what has already been paid on the booking.
7) There are no refunds if the customer voluntarily withdraws from the service leaving before the agreed term with an early departure.
Changes by Heart of Garda
8) In the event of force majeure – therefore not attributable to Heart of Garda – for which the accommodation could not be occupied by the guest in the booked period, Heart of Garda will make available to the customer another accommodation with similar or higher characteristics without any refund for all parties. No responsibility will be attributable to this company.
